Cycle Route 66
This 45 minute class offers a lower, easy pace ride that works for all ages. You will cycle to retro hits from the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s.
Gentle Aqua Stretch – North and South Branch
This 45 minute class is designed for orlder adults looking for increased flexibility using gentle stretches in the water. It is great for adults with arthritis.
Parkinson’s Support & Exercise Class – South Branch
The YMCA and Joint Township Memorial Hospital is partnering to offer a Parkinson’s Support exercise class and monthly educational meeting. The purpose of this partnership is to aid in the physical, mental, and social well-being of individuals living with Parkinson’s and their care partners. Please see the AOA calendar for monthly meeting dates.
Senior Fit – North and South Branch
Exercises designed to improve balance, strength, flexibility, and daily function. Participants will use a variety of equipment including a chair for seated and standing support.
Senior Yoga Stretch – North and South Branch
This is a low impact chair yoga class. There is no floor work involved.
SilverSneakers Classic – North and South Branch
Increase muscle strength and range of movement for daily living. This class will use chairs, resistance bands, hand weights, and SilverSneakers balls.
Try your hand at a game that’s part tennis, part badminton. Named Pickleball after the co-inventors’ dog “Pickles” is an amazingly fun game that people who have or racquet sports experience pick up quickly. One of the best things about a pickleball game is that even if you’ve never played a racquet sport in your life, you can be playing and having a blast within the first hour. To play pickleball, 2-4 players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, similar to a whiffle ball, over a net. All equipment is provided by the YMCA. All abilities and ages are welcome. Gymnasium will be share with other activites if all 3 pickleball courts are not being used.
Water Volleyball – South Branch
Join us in the pool at the South Branch as we play water volleyball with a beach ball!
Chair Volleyball – South Branch
We pull chairs up to a volleyball net in our gymnasium and participants play “chair” volleyball using beach balls!
Do you have muscle pain in the next, shoulder, back, hips, and/or limbs? Or do you have a limited range of motion? If the answer is yes, please try the functional adjustment session. In this 15-20 minute session you will experience immediate improvement and relief. By following the suggested exercises given to you during your session, you will see continued improvements in body function during daily activities.
